MUTUAL AID REQUESTS

Lego Township Fire has a formal mutual aid policy with bordering communities.  Any mutual aid from outside of our immediate mutual aid will not be denied, if equipment is available.  The Lego Twp Fire Dept is a proud member of the Lego Metro Fire District, a mutual aid association whose purpose is to provide mutual aid to departments within the LMFD area as well as provide in-depth discussions and insight on issues affecting the fire department today, Lego fire apparatus and station building techniques as well as general discussions with other members in our forum.

It is the policy of the Lego Township Fire Department that no more than 2 engine companies and 1 truck company may go on mutual aid to a particular town.  However, in extreme circumstances, the LTFD will send a full first alarm assignment, provided the entire first alarm is dispatched to the scene.  No part of the assignment will be split to standby.  Mutual aid will be denied if the total number of engine companies fall below 6 and/or the number of truck companies fall below 3.  Below is a table showing the companies assigned to towns for mutual aid.  If a town requests a certain piece instead of the piece assigned, Lego Twp will comply.
